On March 22nd, 2024, the scientific outreach event “UnistemDay: The Infinite Journey of Scientific Research”,which is an annual international scientific outreach event dedicated to high school students, took place at Università del Piemonte Orientale (UPO).
UnistemDay typically involves a day-long gathering at universities or research institutions with a packed schedule of presentations and open discussions fostering interaction with researchers and making the tangible and emotional experience of research work an important learning opportunity.
During this event, Beatrice Vilardo from UPO partner gave a talk titled: “Miniature organs for studying (and perhaps one day curing) diseases”, within the framework of the European project FLAMIN-GO Project coordinated by Prof. Annalisa Chiocchetti. Her presentation provided an in-depth look into the potentials and challenges associated with this innovative technology.
