Honolulu, May 6, 2025 — Prof. Annalisa Chiocchetti is participating in Immunology2025, the world’s largest annual conference dedicated entirely to immunology, taking place in Honolulu, Hawaii, from May 3 to 7, 2025. The event brings together more than 3,500 scientists from over 40 countries, creating a network of internationally renowned experts and young researchers to discuss the latest scientific breakthroughs and innovations that are transforming the field.
In this prestigious setting, Professor Chiocchetti presented the latest results from the FLAMIN-GO project, with a particular focus on the first pilot clinical study on-chip for rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
The FLAMIN-GO project, funded by the European Union with over 5 million euros, is coordinated by Professor Chiocchetti herself and aims to develop personalized therapeutic solutions for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, with a focus on RA.
“I’m very happy to be here, to share the results of our work and to engage with colleagues from all over the world. The data from our clinical study are promising, they are always received with great enthusiasm by the scientific community, and they represent an important step toward precision medicine for patients with rheumatoid arthritis,” said Professor Chiocchetti.
The FLAMIN-GO project continues to attract great interest for its innovative approach and potential industrial impact. “This work will find real-world application through the start-up AI-TWIN, which will be responsible for bringing this technology to the market,” Professor Chiocchetti concluded.
